On 03.06.2008 as planned, the Chief Executive of KCA, Mr. Hamit Basholli with its cooperators met Mr. Kaorn Tsuda, representative of the “Kokusai Kogyo Holdings Co, Ltd” company from Japan.
During the visit the CEO of KCA, informed Mr. Tsuda, with the developments and needs of KCA for support, within the development and preparation of the state maps with the scale of 1:25000.
It was discussed also the need and the possibility of developing the projects that the Japan company implements, and financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japan state agency.
Except the development of the projects regarding the maps with the scale of 1:25000, the company performs also the technical assistance with photogrametry equipments, for map developing and maintenance. Additionally they perform staff training in the country and abroad, with sophisticated methods for preparation and maintenance of maps.

The workshop for the development plan and long-term strategy for the Kosovo Cadastre was organized by the Kosovo Cadastral Agency (on 4, 5 February 2008)

In the two days Workshop held at the Grand Hotel, except the presenter of this strategy Prof. Dr. Miodrag Roiç from the Zagreb University, there were also representatives of Kosovo governmental institutions, donators, local and international experts.
In this workshop were was discussed about the long-term vision of the development of Kosovo Cadastre, were even the Minister of Public Services, Prof. Dr. Arsim Bajrami was present, accompanied by the deputy minister Dr. Rifat Blaku and their collaborators.
In the opening of this workshop Mr. Hamit Basholli, Chief Executive of the KCA, emphasized that: The development plan and long-term strategy for the Kosovo Cadastre is a necessary prerequisite but not sufficient, the Kosovo Cadastral Agency hopes that from this workshop it will emerge with a necessary political support in building of the capacities and fulfilling all the legal vacuums, and other parts that would make this plan realizable.
Whereas the Minister of MPS, Prof. Dr. Arsim Bajrami, on his opening speech, he added that: Cadastre is basement of the state, and a base which guarantees economic development in the country. Cadastre is not something that serves to Surveyers. Cadastre is in service of authentic planning, real-estate registration, mortgages and safe transactions, while securing stable functioning of the banking system in the country, and creating a safe real-estate environment for investors.      
He assured that KCA will have the necessary support from the ministry that he governs, so that this vision of the development of Kosovo Cadastre will be achieved, supporting the KCA in finding the instruments and the necessary professional capacity building, in order to confront the challenges that emerge from this vision.

Announcement

We inform you that on date 30/07/2007 the Minister of MPS Mrs. Melihate Tërmkolli has signed the Administrative Instruction No. MPS 2007/04 on Licensing of Survey Companies and Surveyors. According to article 19 of this Instruction, this Administrative Instruction will come into force 60 days after it was signed; this means on date 01/10/2007. KCA is doing necessary technical preparations in order that on date 01/10/2007 can start with its implementation. All interested parties will be informed on time about further steps.
